At Glow Inflatables Ltd, we’ve always believed in the magic of scale, spectacle and the power of custom inflatables to stop a crowd in its tracks. So when the hugely successful British rock band Coldplay commissioned our giant planets for their massive Music of the Spheres World Tour, we knew we were in for something special.

Coldplay’s tour is global in the truest sense, with 225 spectacular shows going all over the world. Starting in Costa Rica in March 2022, the band have performed in countries such as Mexico, USA, Japan and Australia to name but a few, as well as all across Europe and South America then culminating in a spectacular run at Wembley Stadium in London in 2025.

It has been a real honour for us to support their journey, spanning the continents for over three years. The team at Glow have coordinated logistics such as the shipping between locations, the inflate-deflate cycle, the occasional repair and refurbishment all in service of making sure those giant planets looked perfect under the stadium lights.

The stunning LED spheres might float serenely above tens of thousands of fans at each venue, but beneath it lies a lot of careful engineering and skilful maintenance. Glow Inflatables Ltd were brought in not as a one-off but as a recurring, trusted resource to accompany Coldplay’s huge production team throughout the tour.

Even though touring environments are tough, our ability to continually maintain the high quality of the giant spheres keeps the show running smoothly for as long as they are required. Large-scale inflatables reliably deliver a sense of wonder and other-worldliness to any event and for Coldplay’s planets theme our giant spheres were perfect.
