At Glow Inflatables, some of our most exciting projects begin not with a detailed specification, but with trust, imagination and a shared ambition to create something truly memorable. One such project started in autumn last year when we were approached by the Providence Tourism Council, Rhode Island.
Providence is a city known for its creative spirit. Home to world-class design institutions, a thriving arts scene and events that celebrate light, music and culture, it’s a place that doesn’t shy away from bold ideas.
They loved Nocturnal, one of our existing illuminated inflatable concepts, but were clear they wanted something unique. With minimal constraints, our Creative Director took the lead on conceptual design, developing an entirely new inflatable light installation inspired by celestial forms. The result was a collection of striking illuminated stars – elegant, scalable and designed to transform public spaces after dark.
This kind of project plays directly to one of Glow Inflatables’ core strengths: conceptual design. The stars needed to be visually impactful, easy to install and robust enough for winter use, all without losing their sense of wonder.
The finished installations were rolled out across various events over the Christmas and New Year period, bringing light, warmth and atmosphere to the city of Providence during the darker months. They perfectly captured what the project set out to achieve: something distinctive, festive and rooted in Providence’s creative identity.
This project is a perfect example of how Glow Inflatables goes beyond fabrication. Our Creative Director personally leads conceptual design projects, helping clients turn abstract ideas into fully realised experiences.
Working with the Providence Tourism Council was a reminder of what’s possible when a client is willing to trust the process and embrace originality.
