At Glow Inflatables, we thrive on bringing ambitious, unconventional ideas to life and our latest collaboration is no exception. This summer, we were invited by visionary Belgian artist Alex Czetwertynski to help design and manufacture a truly unforgettable centrepiece: a 10-metre-tall, LED-illuminated inflatable duck for the legendary Electric Castle Festival in Transylvania. Working closely with Alex, we developed a bespoke inflatable that blended playful surrealism with immersive lighting design.
We teamed up with Electric Castle’s festival organisers and a team of structural engineers to ensure the duck was not only spectacular but also safely and securely installed on site. Our crew travelled out to Romania to handle the full setup, ensuring that every element met the high creative and technical standards of both the artist and the event. As a result, the giant inflatable duck was glowing bright and standing proud for the festival’s epic five-day musical extravaganza.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the iconic Banffy Castle, the enormous yellow duck made a surreal and joyful impact – a glowing beacon of fun, art, and unexpected wonder. Whether seen at dusk or lighting up the night sky, it quickly became one of the most talked-about installations of the event.
This project was a perfect example of how inflatable art can blend creativity, technology, and sheer scale. We’re proud to have played a part in making Alex Czetwertynski’s bold vision a glowing reality and to have brought a bit of inflatable magic to one of Europe’s most exciting music and arts festivals.
